I finished the Star Crossed Slouchy Beret. It was my first project with cables. I kind of liked doing all the cables although they were kind of difficult( I'll get the hang of it with more practice.) I'm already working on another one in a burgundy color for my mom. Her birthday is June 7th, so I have a feeling I might not get it done in time. Especially since the new Sims 3 expansion came out a couple days ago. I told my mom that her present had been put on the back burner for a few days and she didn't seem to mind. She appreciates all the hard work and effort that I put into her presents since she's a fibre artist too. She actually taught me to crochet when I was younger, of course, all I did were chains and then I got more into as I got older.

By the way, I've been thinking about purchasing a stitchionary. I've been wanting to try and work with some lace, but I would prefer a book with bunch of different types of stitches(ie: cabling, lace, ribbing...etc). Does anyone have any recommendations?

Summer is almost here : ]

I've got a lot of stuff going on right now. Finals are next week, which is a blessing in disguise :) I've got so many projects going I don't know where to start/finish. I started a knitting journal/notebook to keep track of all the patterns I am working. I am also about to finish  The Friday Night Knitting Club (Friday Night Knitting Club Novels).
Since I have so much stuff going on lately, I've had to push back my weekly Dungeons and Dragons game until school is over. Yes, I play Dungeons and Dragons, and let me say that before I played it, I thought, "Oh this is just some nerdy game that nerds play in their mom's basement." Well, you don't really have to be a nerd to play it, all you need is a little imagination and a patient game master. It's actually quite fun, it reminds me of being a child and exploring. It's great to be able to use my imagination once a week and spend quality time with friends.

Works In Progress:
  • Crocheted Half Granny Square Shawl
  • Amigurumi Octopus
  • Toe Up Socks
  • Striped Scarf in Stockinette Stitch
  • Grey Slouchy Beanie

Hello good people!

I've recently been working on my first pair of toe up socks and all was well with that project until I realized that I made the foot way too long. I'm not sure what to do with this project now. Should I just unknit it until I reach my desired foot length?

I completed a quick crochet project the other day:

Also, I found a really neat article that I thought I would share with you. I guess I will make this a new segment to my blog. Let's call it: Knitting News!

Someone made a wind powered knitting device!
